Roseville Soroptimist Club’s Sharon Sargent and Sue Kirstein with Liz (center in photo) of Stand Up Placer with backpacks SIR presenting backpacks to Stand Up Placer. These backpacks will be used for women/girls involved in sex trafficking. It’s a small but tangible way to give them something of their own. The backpacks are packed with a few basic necessities that most of us take for granted. Our donation of $1000 helps Stand Up Placer help women and children!

Soroptimist International of Roseville is very pleased to have been a part of this project. Our donation helped them reach their goal of a remodeled kitchen that functions to help the young women there. Here is what Taylor House had to say:
When the doors of The Taylor House first opened in January 2012, we never dreamed that we would be able to have a new kitchen. With the generosity of our donors, board members friends family and contractors, our new kitchen is complete. Our six girls that live at The Taylor House are enjoying every minute of it and we are so happy!
